Mark A Cella on the US Dept of Homeland Security
Does the US Department of Homeland Security Really Secure Anything or Does it Work Against the American People? Big Brother is Watching Us More Than We Think.
Many things came from that dreadful September day in 2001, the US Department of Homeland Security was just one amongst many. Terrorist’s attacks–or so we were told they were terrorists–were successful on U.S. soil and thousands of Americans died.
Parents were lost; brothers died; children became orphans; families were ripped apart. The sense of security that came with being a citizen of this country was taken, perhaps forever; the US Department of Homeland Security was created.
Never before had such an attack been carried out within the continental United States. Yes, there was Pearl Harbor, another American tragedy that resulted in the loss of thousands of lives, but it was a military installation separated from the bulk of the nation by an ocean.
Many questions arose about how something like this could have happened and why it was not stopped.
Mark A Cella on the US Dept of Homeland Security
After all, it would make sense that coordinating plane crashes into various targets at the same time of day would take years of planning, numerous people, and lots of discussion. Yet somehow the terrorists involved were able to train and do what was necessary to carry out their cowardly act.
In the days and months following the deadly attacks of September 11, there was much discussion as to why these terrorists were not discovered prior to these attacks and why weren’t they stopped.
Perhaps one of the problems was not a single agency was responsible for keeping the homeland safe.
In fact, there were over 100 government agencies that had some type of responsibility related to homeland security, but none with homeland security as its primary task.
It is no wonder than there was no single entity with enough information to see these attacks coming.
Mark A Cella What is the Dept of Homeland Security Doing?
In an attempt to learn from the mistakes of the past and to prevent another attack on American soil, the US Department of Homeland Security was created to be that one agency intended to ensure the homeland would be secure.
One has to wonder whether or not the terrorists considered the September 11 attacks a success. After all, they killed many of those darn infidels and disrupted the harmony in which the nation existed.
Many pundits would probably quickly answer no and refer to the response which the American government and public gave. The government went through the most intensive restructuring in years to improve and reinforce the sense of homeland security. Citizens were more than giving of their time, money, blood, etc.
Shortly after 9/11 this was all true. A look at the state of the nation now tells a different story. What began as the war against terrorism has bogged down into a never ending conflict without a reasonable and definitive end in sight.
Instead of being grateful for increased security at airports, more and more people complain about how long it takes to get through the lines.
Mark A Cella on the US Dept of Homeland Security
The US Department of Homeland Security is even coming up with an automated system for foreign nationals travelling into or out of the U.S. The Patriot Act has been a mess of controversy since it was implemented. More government wiretaps with little or no cause? Whatever happened to the right to privacy?
The government can even read emails that may appear suspicious. How do they differentiate the suspicious from the non-suspicious? More than likely they just read whatever they feel like in hopes of finding suspicious activity.
The US Department of Homeland Security may be keeping us more secure now, but we will not know how secure until the next serious attack is attempted. Maybe it has already happened and the general public does not know. Maybe the government is not telling the public in order not to incite mass hysteria or encourage hate crimes against Muslims.
Is the mass restructuring of the government doing a better job? Citizens of New Orleans would say a resounding NO!
Fast forward from September 2001 till 2009 and we see a United States that is much different. Distrust in the government is rather high with the massive failure to act in New Orleans after Katrina and the suspected unnecessary abuses of civil liberties prominent in the minds of the people. Citizens live in a state of perpetual fear, being told by the government that another attack is coming but they do not know where. Faith in government is down. Fear in the unknown is up.
The creation of the US Department of Homeland Security might just be the symbol of success terrorists worldwide were looking for and not the symbol of security a nation needs.

Improving The Way The World Is Run – Making The World A Better Place In 5 Steps
July 24, 2010 by Jeorge Poitier
The world as it is has a lot of potential for improvement – many people feel frustrated that they have no power to change the way it is run. However, together we are all able to change the world – this article shows how we can make the world a better, fairer place in which to live.
Step 1: Setting up a World Parliament
The United Nations Security Council is where decisions with some of the greatest impact are made, and yet it is democratically deficient. Whilst all stages of government have some sort of parliamentary body, the highest level of governance – the UN – has none. We therefore need to change this by establishing a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA) which would provide democratic representation of the people of the world.
Step 2: Encourage a Public Mind Shift
The formation of the UNPA could be part of the public mind shift that is already happening in the public around the world at the moment. We need to encourage more people to move to a higher level of thinking where they see themselves not just as individuals but also as citizens of the world.
Step 3: Develop a New Global Political Philosophy based upon Conflict Resolution
Once a public mind shift has taken place, we can begin to form a new global political philosophy. This will be a fresh way of thinking which has moved on from the adversarial philosophy of the past.
Step 4: Global Law-making
It is evident that international law today is just not sufficient for a truly global decision making – we therefore need to move beyond national sovereignty and replace it with global law.
Step 5: Transforming the System of Global Governance
We can then achieve a transformed system of global governance whereby we have a democratic system run by the people for the people. We can have a new form of democratic leadership by the people of the world, representing the voice of the people.
By following these steps, we could create a world where people have a true representative on a global level, which would certainly make the world a better place.
Go to The UNPA Club. The UNPA Club is for anyone frustrated with the way the world is being run and who want to see real change in the world. http://www.unpa-club.org has been created as a meeting place for members to support global campaigns, share ideas and contribute to making the world a better place to live. Together, we can work for the long term objective of transforming global governance, including the way global decisions are made.
Stan Allotey Sr. Explains The Importance Education

Politics and Education are intimately intertwined in having an effect on all areas of life. This article will discuss how politics and education affect every area of a persons life. Stan Allotey Sr., an expert in this field of study offers much insight into how politics and education come together and how they both affect people daily in society.
Politics affects education by determining the standards of the materials to be taught in schools, whether national, statewide, or in individual school districts. The many different layers of government must work together in order to ensure that education is standardized. It is also very important that protections are put in place to support all people of all financial and social backgrounds are able to have access to the educational institutions available.
Outlines of policies or procedures to show what must be taught in schools are set by the national governing party. Politicians at state level decide on such policy as class size, availability of student supports, funding for textbooks and school operations. School districts are guided by information from parents, community members, and teachers to set local policies that follow the outline provided by higher levels of government.
Education affects every area of a persons life every day. A person with low or no education has a very difficult time functioning in the society around them. If a person does not know how to read or has limited skill, then the job market for them is greatly reduced. Not having a job that can pay bills and buy food and shelter puts a person at risk for many health challenges, and this only worsens the longer it goes on.
Being stopped from going to school and being given training and knowledge will prevent a person from successfully contributing to the society they are living in. Less education equals less knowledge, even in the areas of health and prevention of the spread of disease. An uneducated persons life span could be shortened due to lack of knowledge about illness prevention or treatment of chronic conditions.
It is easy to see how politics and education affect every area of a persons life, when looked at more closely. Government on many different levels set standards of education and regulate who will receive the education. These policies and procedures have a trickle-down effect on every member of the community. On a larger scale the society of a country will be shaped by the educational system in place.

How To Become A Private Detective
June 17, 2010 by Pamela Smith

“Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, or an individual with a Thermos conducting an all-night vigil for suspected infidelity: private investigators provide services including surveillance and employee theft; they trace missing persons; and advise companies on security measures, including de-bugging, and preventing industrial espionage.” – From The Times, 2005.
What is it exactly that makes a person a good private detective? It is not the academic qualification, nor is it the length of experience in a certain job. What actually makes a good private detective is if a person has a huge degree of patience, common sense and tenacity. These are the most important qualities. A private detective must be thorough. Most of the successful private detectives were former police offers and others used to work for law firms or in administrative support in detective agencies.
Of course, before they become private detectives they will be provided with short training courses to hone their skills as detectives. Tony Imossi now heads London-based Solicitors’ Law Services, but has been a private investigator. “In my first job I routinely met private investigators, decided that I could do better and set up on my own. I now advise on protection against fraud and money laundering. I do this by assessing clients’ degree of protection and investigating the people that they propose to do business with.”
Tony Imossi has worked in advanced fee fraud, undercover operations and fit-to-sue work. He has done so by checking public sources of information that you can see whether money to pay the debt is available. There was even a case when he got really close to a guy who was defrauding a bank. He posed as an arms dealer, and the fraud fell for it.
Anyone can call themselves a private detective, but not everyone can prove themselves to be real private detectives.

ntellectual midgets and Pee Wee Herman The Congressman; Hell will freeze over before politicians can fix this economy.
The economy is in shambles. Unemployment is at an all-time high. Foreclosure has become an epidemic and we are looking to the same screw-up’s who put us in this mess to get us out.
Seriously, and I say this with all due respect the handicapped and economically disadvantaged, we would have a better chance of grabbing a random homeless, blind, deaf, mute, quadriplegic out of a refrigerator box shanty in a west Philly alleyway and betting one million dollars that we could train him to win the Ironman in a week, than we ever will depending on succubus congressmen and senators to get us out of this mess of which they are responsible.
Congress will blame this meltdown on aliens and the chupacabra before they admit any wrong doing.
Turn on the news and you’ll see an orgy of sweaty brow, finger-wagging and jaw-flapping politicians blaming a straw man CEO of an investment banking firm for ten years of his firm’s economic gluttony and purging (though he’s only been in this executive position for 90 days). It’s a set up. Wake up. It’s all just a distraction.
Bring in a clean cut yet power hungry executive, put him through rapid promotion from VP to CEO, tell him he’s going to a press conference then blindfold him, lead him to a 3×3 ft closet, toss in a dozen stink bombs, 10 day old soiled adult diapers, bottle rockets and fire crackers, turn out the lights, take off the blindfold, throw in a rabid squirrel, slam the door shut and 5 days later let him out to and ask him to run the Boston Marathon wearing an eye patch, Speedo and flip-flops while waving pompoms. Let’s get real. We need solutions, not a congressional Kid n’ Play dance competition. It’s a joke and we are the ones being laughed at; you, me and our children.
I have an idea! For the next presidential election we can have Pee Wee Herman run under the democratic ticket, the hunchback of notre dame can run under the republican ticket and we can have Chubaka run the CNN televised debate and we can have the post debate commentaries by Lady Gaga and the Teletubbies and why not? Americans would complain for 2 days and then buy the latest Asterix Comic for voting advice on the next election.

Why November Will Be Good For The Democratic Party
April 1, 2010 by Henry Theodore Wallace
After more than a year of battle with the Republicans and Fox News, President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party were finally able to make health care reform the law of the USA.
It’s hard to exaggerate the importance of the health care victory for Obama. It’s a legislative victory so huge that it propels President Obama into the debate about the greatest American Presidents since 1900. Universal health care coverage has been a goal for forward thinking people since President Theodore Roosevelt proposed the concept in the early 1900s.
As huge as the win is for Obama, it’s just as big of a loss for the Republicans because they put everything they had on trying to take down the bill and they got beat. Far right wing Republican Senator Jim Demint said that he thought the GOP could destroy Obama’s presidency if they could just defeat health care reform. He said it could be the President’s “Waterloo” but as former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum noted in a recent column, it’s now the GOP’s “Waterloo.”
This is because all of the outrageous lies that the the Republican machine (including Fox News) told about health care reform only work politically if the bill never becomes law. Then they can pretend that they “saved America” from some evil plot and since it never happened there’d be no solid proof that they were totally full of it. This is how the GOP won huge in 1994 after defeating Bill Clinton’s attempt at health care reform.
But now that health care reform is law average Americans will eventually find out that they actually like the changes made by the bill because they are overwhelmingly positive for most Americans.
The GOP is now campaigning with the ludicrous slogan “Repeal and Replace” but this slogan will seem like an increasingly bad idea as everyday folks find out how good the reform really is. A majority of Americans will wake up and realize that the GOP has done nothing but lie about this topic for more than a year and this should lead to a very good November for the Democratic party in 2010.
No Republicans have officially become a 2012 Presidential Candidate yet but many expect the completely unqualified Sarah Palin to run.
Gaelic Language – In Years Gone By And Today
February 18, 2010 by Joan Sebastien
In the tenth and eleventh centuries Scottish Gaelic was at its most popular. These days there is no more than 1.6% that have the ability to converse in the Gaelic language. Nearly all pro- Gaelic speakers may say or may have said that this was the plan of the English – to rid the British Isles of their Gaelic language and replace it by the English language and have the single language spoken throughout the country. In fact, there are various reasons for the decrease of Gaelic as being a key language in Scotland.
Firstly, by about 1400 the actual variation between the Highlands and the Lowlands had been solidly recognized. A scholarly man known as John of Fordun had this to point out concerning the differences between the highlanders and the lowlanders in 1380:
\”The people from the coastal areas tend to be of domestic and civilised conduct, trusty, patient, urbane, reputable in their dress, likeable, as well as quiet, devout in Divine worship, yet continually ready to deny a wrong doing at the hands of their opponents. The highlanders and also people from the islands, in comparison, are a savage and untamed land and peoples, rude and obnoxious and self-sufficient, given to rapine, ease-loving, wise as well as quick to master, comely in person, yet unappealing in apparel, inhospitable to the English men and women too and are also known to be very aggresive in nature. These types of individuals tend to be nonetheless faithful and obedient to their personal king and country, and very easy and quick to submit to regulations, if suitably ruled\”.
So it could be argued that the main reason for the decline in the Gaelic language was due to the great divide between the differing parts of Scotland. And by the sixteenth century the divergence between the two was at an all time high due to in the main, historic reasons and a different language being spoken. James VI had two main principles for his Highland policy – one being a way to make an income and the other was for it to be used for plantation. He considered that the highlanders and particularly the islanders were not paying their fair taxation and he wanted to change this.
In 1597 he created three burghs within the Highlands while using the objective of enabling a number of personnel from the lowlanders to rule. There was a lot of disruption to follow. And thus the financial cost of this disruption was high.

Can American Bikers Unite To Protect Themselves Before It Is Too Late?
January 29, 2010 by L.J. James

These sort of “grey area” laws are extremely dangerous and a threat to everyone’s freedom. Who decides what constitutes “Gang Apparel”? I’m wondering if Boy Scouts are going to be able to eat together at Applebees if they are in their uniforms.
According to news reports, many Bikers and Motorcycle Club Members in Virginia have already begun fighting this law. If a law like this is allowed to stand in Virginia, it won’t be long until it is passed in other states across America!
We as Motorcyclists and Bikers (It does not matter what you call yourself) have to realize fast that we are all connected. It doesn’t matter what you ride, what State you live in or who you Support, we’re all in this together. What effects Me effects you and it doesn’t matter what you happen to think of me.
When the local Bar you and your Brothers love hanging out at is told that you and all other members of Motorcycle Clubs can no longer go there or they will revoke the Bars liquor license, What then?
This is no Joke my Biker Brothers, every month there is another new law that is aimed not only Motorcycle Club Members, but all Americans. It seems that every time the Government wants to take away a freedom, they find a way to craft a new law for our “safety”. What kind of Country is this turning into when you can’t wear what you want and suddenly, your constitutional right to assemble is taken away from you?
Although there are many ignorant people out there that believe Motorcycle Clubs are Gangs, that’s simply not the case. Most Motorcycle Clubs are made up of hard working, honest, law abiding, patriotic, American Citizens who enjoy a common bond, Motorcycles. It’s what is in a persons heart that determines who they are, not the clothes they wear.
In the past year the government has taken away the Colors of one Motorcycle Club. A law enforcement officer can demand anyone sporting the Clubs logo to forfeit it. The theory is that the loss of the logo strips the club of its “gang identity.”
Grant it, it appears that some of the Clubs members may have been involved in illegal activities, but that doesn’t mean that everyone who rides a Motorcycle should be punished for it. In fact, less than 10% of this 600 Member Club was even accused of wrong doing.
In addition, the Government and law enforcement agencies have been spending millions of our dollars to influence friends and ex-members of Motorcycle Clubs in an effort to infiltrate these clubs in hopes of catching members doing something illegal. Often, when they find that the Club they’ve infiltrated is nothing more than a group of Patriotic, Law Abiding Men & Women, they’ll fabric wrong doing so that they can justify the enormous amount of resources spent on these Fishing Expeditions.
Just imagine how much better off we’d all be if they used those resources to investigate the Corrupt Politicians, the Corporations that control our Country, Wall Street, and the other issues that are quickly sinking this great Nation.
What I want to know is, what will be the last straw? What’s it going to take for us to say enough is enough? We can not fight these Laws and Fight each other at the same time! We need to work together to save what we are, who we are.
The Government has taken away our rights to ride the Motorcycle we want, to wear what we want and now to go where we want! Why are we still fighting each other? When are we going to wake up??

The standards have become more stringent and the cross-collateralization of personal and corporate assets as security for loans has virtually become a mandatory prerequisite for any type of funding, equity or loan based.
When initiating the process of raising capital one should take into consideration the use of a combination of funding options such as but not limited to: traditional venture capital, bank institutional, institutional equity investment, hedge fund lenders, private money lending, angel equity and loan investment, a private placement memorandum as the mechanism for raising capital distributed in shares, international equity based funding, the reality of taking your small business public on the OTCBB and many other concepts of capital raising that can be placed into a simultaneous strategy.
