Here are two excellent reasons why you should change to microfibre cleaning cloths. They don’t leave smears on your glass and mirrors and they don’t leave lint on your furniture after you have dusted.

Microfibre is a relatively new type of material that will change the way you think about cleaning forever. Clean your windows with ease and no more smears.

Microfibre is made by a new way of spinning the fibres together producing ultra-fine filaments of around 1 denier (you women that wear stocking will know how fine that is). Due to how they are woven together, microfibre makes an excellent sponge holding up to eight times its own weight in water! Not only does it absorb water but it will also absorb fats and grease spills too.

It is a myth that cleaning is just for women, men too can use microfibre. This material makes an excellent all round cleaning cloth in the motor trade. Being lint free it is perfect for providing a showroom shine to all paintwork, leaves windows smear free, and makes light work of providing a perfect finish to the interior.

With microfibre cloths, you don’t have to replace them very often either. They can be washed frequently in plain detergent, no fabric softener and this will help last longer still. So even though they may cost slightly more initially because they last they ultimately save you money.

You can use microfibre in every room in the house. Microfibre has been proven to eliminate 99% of bacteria from your surfaces whether in your kitchen or your bathroom, but I would recommend you have a separate cloth one for your work surfaces and one for your loo.

They are not just kept for the home. Some professions like using microfibre as they are soft and do not scratch. Photographers and opticians find them great for cleaning grease off specialist glass equipment such as camera lenses or your specs. The fibre is so fine it wipes away any dust easily keeping it trapped in the filaments.

Using microfibre in cleaning is one good reason to change but it also makes an excellent bath towel giving another good reason to change.

As the material is super absorbent they make excellent towels. They leave your crystal gleaming unlike most tea towels and because they dry really quickly they are great in the bathroom eliminating all stale odours form damp towels. They also fold up really small so make the perfect companion for any back packer taking up less room than conventional towels and because they dry quickly do not make everything damp.

So there you are a better type of material!

Microfibre: the good all rounder that will cover everyone’s needs and has a multitude of uses.
