To fuel your body with energy you need both simple and complex sugars, known as carbohydrates. Notice that if you don’t put enough energy into your workout the spare carbs will get converted into fat to store the energy. It is important to remember that carbs need to be eaten sparingly whilst you are training. This may be difficult at times but you need to remember that you trying to build muscle and not fat. If you cut out carbohydrates altogether you simply won’t have the energy required to train, you just need to makes sure that you don’t go overboard whilst refilling the tank. The speed and rate that your body processes carbohydrates depends on how fast your metabolism is so the first few weeks are about finding the right balance for you.
