In any organization or business, management is the act of getting together their human resources to accomplish the organizational goals in an effective and efficient manner. Management consists of planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing and controlling the efforts of the people to achieve the goals. A Good Manager masters the art of the basic five elements of management.
Planning: Good Managers plans out exactly how to achieve an organizational goal. For example, a manager should know how to improve the company revenue and generate profits. The manager needs to be in a position to decide which step is necessary to accomplish the goal. Steps should include how to increase revenue through advertising, inventory and sales people. These important and necessary steps should be developed and implemented into a plan. Once a plan is in place, managers can follow it to achieve the goal of improving the revenue and generating profit.
Organizing: Organizing is the management function that usually followed by planning. Once a plan is in place, the manager organizes the team, collect and configures resourced to implement the plan effectively and efficiently. Organizing involves the assigning task, a group of tasks into a department and assigning of authority and allocating of resources across the organization.
Staffing: In any organizations, managers often work with the company’s human resourced to achieve the desired goals. Managers are responsible for finding the right person for the right job to accomplish the organizational goals. In order to achieve it he has to work with the human resource by recruiting, selecting, training individuals for specific functions, develop employees, and allocate them with duties and responsibilities.
Leading: A manager should plan, organize and staff a team to accomplish an organizational goal, and also lead the team. Leading a team of employees involves motivating, guiding, communicating and encouraging. A Manager is required to coach, assist and ensure that he is able to support and solve problems with employees.
Controlling: Once the other elements are in place, a manager needs to continuously check for errors and take corrective measures so that the deviation from standards are minimized and stated goals of the organization are achieved in a desired manner. Control in management means setting standards, measuring actual performance and taking corrective action.

Two hours of sleep is enough to make you feel well-rested. Sure, for about 2 percent of people are able to sleep for only a couple of hours a day and still feel well-rested and are able to get through the next day. For us, we need a full 8 hours of sleep to get the job done.
Some people think that napping can make you feel drowsy when you wake up. Come to think of it, you might feel a bit drowsy by the time you lift your head but when you are up and about, you will feel that you have regained your sense of concentration and have a new source of energy to last you the entire day.
It is normal for people to feel sleepy during the unholy hours of the afternoon. Blame it to your circadian rhythm but it is normal. A lot of people begin to wane during the afternoon and this would be the time to take some nap.
If you suffer from insomnia, a lot of people would tell you to go to bed as early as possible. This is not true. If you do suffer from insomnia it is much better that you hop out of bed and do something else and get in bed an hour later from your usual bed time to make yourself feel tired and sleepy.
Never skip several hours of sleep and say you are good with that. Sleep debt is a major cause of slumps on both concentration and attention for people who work at the office. When you do not have enough sleep, try to take the day off and get into bed and sleep your way back to regular hours.
A lot of people believe that it does not matter what time you go to sleep as long as you get a full 8 hours of sleep. The thing is, people who sleep at night are less likely to develop depression than those who sleep in the morning.
Sleeping pills are your aid to help you sleep. And it should be done not when chronic insomnia happens but it should be taken on the onset of insomnia to help you regain your regular sleeping pattern.
